Dr. Karen Heimer is Professor of Sociology, Collegiate Fellow and affiliate of the Public Policy Center at the University of Iowa. She is a quantitative criminologist whose research focuses on juvenile delinquency, victimization, and gender and violence. With her expertise in quantitative analysis, her input will be valuable to the design as well as analysis of the data. Dr. Heimer is also the Multiple Principal Investigator with Dr. Ramirez (MPI of currently proposed research) of a study, entitled “Evaluation of Link for Schools: a system to prevent violence and its adverse impacts,” funded by the National Institute of Justice’s (NIJ) Comprehensive Safe Schools Initiative.
